The Board of Trustees is the seniormost collective body of this organization and is responsible for the oversight of the James Monroe Memorial Foundation. The Board adopts rules, regulations, and policies governing the organization and has authority over the development of preservation and education initiatives, as well as fiscal and human resource management. The Board also elects or approves senior officers, committees and representatives of this organization. Because of this organizational oversight, members of this Board are not eligible to simultaneously remain members of the National Advisory Board.
